Overnight-. Camping on the Pacuare River (Class III - IV) First day
Around 8:00 a.m., a very Costa Rican breakfast will be offered in a restaurant at Paraíso, Cartago. Pacuare is considered the most beautiful river in Costa Rica and worldwide one of the best whitewater rafting rivers due to the scenic beauty, waterfalls, hiking trails and diversity of flora and fauna, among which participants will observe blue morpho butterflies, sloths, tucans, red frogs and great variety of birds. Thus, nature is present throughout the journey.
We enter through Finca 3 X to the river approximately at 10:00 a.m. As guides prepare equipment to go down, another guide accompanies rafters to visit the beautiful crystal clear water mountain stream and go for a refreshing dip. Then, guides and kits prepared, passengers are also ready to go down.
Then, whitewater rafting continues 20 more minutes until Quebrada Fría, a spectacular waterfall. You can delight dipping or simply admiring its beauty. First day trip finishes with camping where we spend the night, dine, relish a happy hour and might explore rainforest together with one of our guides. Second Day
Finally, our customers can have a shower and typical lunch at a Siquirres, Limón restaurant. We return to the respective hotels in San José between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Overnight with Hotel First Day: Reventazón River
The tour starts between 6:00 and 7:00 a. m with our guides and comfortable microbuses that pick up the adventurers in the main hotels of the metropolitan area. Taking the route to the Cartago colonial city we can observe the "Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles"; later, we enjoy an excellent typical breakfast in Paraíso.
This section is located in Tucurrique, Congo town and whitewater rafting ends in La Florencia, Turrialba. Both towns belong to the province of Cartago. This two-hour duration and 12 miles journey tour is ideal for beginners with a minimum age of 10 years old.
Each participant receives a life jacket, a helmet and a paddle. One of the guides gives a safety speech and a small practice before this whitewater rafting experience begins. Once the river journey is finished we take a shower and delight a delicious typical lunch in the facilities prepared for our participants.
Then we move to a comfortable hotel in Turrialba where our customers can enjoy the facilities and swimming pool, watch TV or simply rest. An exquisite dinner will be served during the night (no alcoholic beverages are included).
Second Day: Pacuare River (Class III-IV)
Again, each customer receives the rafting kit, safety speech and small practice before journeys like Huacas, Cimarrones and Dos Montañas. For around three hours we raft in Pacuare River, considered the most beautiful river in Costa Rica and worldwide one of the best whitewater rafting rivers due to the scenic beauty, waterfalls, hiking trails and diversity of flora and fauna, among which participants will observe blue morpho butterflies, sloths, tucans, red frogs and great variety of birds. Thus, nature is present throughout the journey.
Finally, our customers can have a shower and typical lunch at a Siquirres, Limón restaurant. We return to the respective hotels in San José between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
